Most of us know by now how important SEO is for a company, but many don’t know
how crucial it is at local level. Local SEO serves to boost your business on a location-based search. They do this by using technology such as geo qualifiers and when consumers add “near me” at the end of their search. This allows Google and other search engines to use the location of the person, such as state, city, zip code, and more to pull up businesses in their area. Here are some ways local SEO can enhance your company.
Google’s local business searches responds with a 3-pack. This 3-pack advertises 3 businesses in the local area, giving their name, address, website, and more information for the consumer to click on. Results from a Moz study shows that “44% of people who performed a local search clicked on a local 3-pack listing, while only 8% chose to load more local results.”
More calls and more visits:
By getting your business to be part of the 3-pack it allows more customers to come to your company and more traffic to your website. Forbes conducted a study which said that, “95% of smartphone users have used their device to perform local searches, out of which 61% called the business and 59% visited.”
Attract different clientele:
When costumers conduct their search, their looking for specific information. If you put all your information out there with your company’s local SEO, people will see just that. For instance; if your business is kid friendly or offers free Wifi, say it. You will attract specific consumers this way.
